I see a lot of the answers here are more along the lines of "what are some unkown facts about the conflict" instead of what is ignored.
Here's my short list of things that are ignored:
- The Palestinians rejected every peace proposal and were involved in three wars of aggression and almost 50 years of fighting before they got the idea that talking would be better than fighting. I say this is ignored because they are treated like their entire history is irrelevant and they should be allowed to come into negotiations with demands and ultimatums. The losing side of a war, let alone 3 wars has never been given so much power in post-conflict negotiations if any at all.
- The Palestinian Authority receives about $2 billion a year in Foreign Aid (with a GDP of just about 10 billion). However, the public infrastructure and and services has barely increased at all. It has been reported [Palestinians Deserve Justice] that President Abbas has a salary of 1 million euros a month. His original salary when elected was 10,000 [Abbas to receive $10,000 per month] with a 50,000 bonus to improve his living conditions. So under the assumption that it is up to 1 million, that makes his yearly salary approximately 1% of the Palestinian GDP. Oh and he's planning on building a $13 Million Presidential Palace. The leaders and politicians on each side get rich while the people suffer. But of course then they blame it on Israel, so everything is fine.
- While every now and the Abbas goes and speaks English to the world saying he doesn't agree with the violent acts happening against Israel, his and his party's social media are filled with incitement and praise of terrorism and he makes speeches of hate praising martyrs and demonizing Israel.

Palestinian Officials Say Killing Israelis is Good, but Only at the ‘Right Place and Time’
Meet the Real Abu Mazen on his Arabic Facebook Page - People claim over and over that Palestinians have democratically elected officials. However they then ignore that after Hamas was elected in Gaza, they went on a rampage killing Fatah members and kicking them out of Gaza. Abbas was elected to a 4 year term in 2005. There were supposed to be new elections in 2009. That never happened.
That's just my short list. There are plenty more.
