The position is only temporary, however: The contest winner will join Live Nation’s social media team on May 27 and coordinate Timberlake’s concert in Dallas, Texas as part of his “The Man of the Woods Tour.”
In a company blog post, LinkedIn wrote:
Earlier this year, we unveiled the LinkedIn Top Companies list, which highlights the most sought-after companies where professionals want to work and stay. Now we are teaming up with one of the top companies, Live Nation, to offer a professional on LinkedIn the chance to experience a day in the life of a Live Nation employee and help manage social media for Justin Timberlake’s “The Man of the Woods Tour" from Live Nation’s social accounts.… In addition to learning about Live Nation’s social strategy, you’ll interact with concertgoers and get behind-the-scenes access at “The Man of the Woods” tour. Your day will end by helping share content across Live Nation’s social channels from a VIP concert seat.
To enter, you’ll need to create a video and post it on LinkedIn with the hashtag #LinkedInTopCompaniesContest before the contest deadline of May 13 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. LinkedIn will notify the winner through an InMail message on May 18.
What sort of video resume will capture the attention of the platform’s team? LinkedIn shared a few tips in its blog post:
We will be looking for videos that:
- Showcase the ability to inspire others with the story.
- Paint a picture of how this experience will impact your professional journey.
- Approach the qualifying question in a creative fashion.
- Communicate a strong interest and passion for the entertainment industry and/or social media.
The contest is LinkedIn’s effort to highlight its Top Companies list (Live Nation is No. 27, underneath organizations such as Tesla, Amazon, Netflix, Airbnb and IBM). It’s also a way to highlight both organizations with LinkedIn presences—along with potential positions that might be up for grabs to LinkedIn users.
