Craigslist only has 40 employees, but it makes nearly $400 million each year. That's $10 million per employee.

Wait - listing things on Craigslist is free, right? How do they make all that money?
Actually, in a couple of cities, Craigslist charges for job and real estate listings. And just from these listings, they gross more than $400 million per year.

But isn't Craigslist a nonprofit?
It's actually a private for-profit company. Private means they don't have to file the typical reports that publicly traded corporations have to file. For-profit means they don't have the complicated governance issues that nonprofits have to mess with.
So what do they do with all of that money? Only they know for sure - they don't have to tell anyone. They do seem to give a lot of it away.
