Why don't democrats wait and see what Trump can get accomplished instead of trying to destroy him before he even gets started?
Since I am not a Democrat - lifelong libertarian here, who has never voted for either a Republican or a Democratic candidate for any elected office - I do not have a dog in this fight. However, adopting a "wait and see" attitude towards the Talented Mister Trump is not a viable option for any rational and compassionate individual. If ever there was a Niemöller moment in American history, that moment is now, as American democracy is currently under siege by a strongman authoritarian who has already done irreparable harm to the reputation of a democratic republic that was once almost universally seen as a shining city on a hill.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
