30 jobs in the PR and marketing world

For many college students, graduation is right around the corner.

It’s a time to celebrate—or panic about—the end of one journey and the beginning of a new one.

It is, after all, called “commencement.”

Following that special ceremony, newly minted graduates will be hearing these gentle (dreaded) words of encouragement from a parent or guardian: “Now that you’ve graduated, it’s time you found yourself a job.”

LinkedIn recently released its second annual list of “The Most Popular Jobs and Companies for College Graduates.” It ranks the top 10 companies that hire the greatest number of recent college graduates and the most-coveted entry-level positions, as well as the median salaries for those roles.

Amazon landed No. 1 on the list of most popular companies hiring recent graduates, which has “…hired twice as many 2017 graduates as any other company on the list,” according to the LinkedIn list.

Here are the top 10 companies hiring recent college graduates:

  1. Amazon
  2. EY
  3. Oracle
  4. Lockheed Martin
  5. Insight Global
  6. IBM
  7. Vanguard
  8. Enterprise Holdings
  9. Deloitte
  10. Accenture

The most popular jobs cover a wide array of fields, but there were a few communications-related positions that made the top 10.

For recent college graduates, account executive came in at No. 3 on the list, with a median salary of $75,000. Marketing coordinator ($45,000) landed at No.6, and account manager ($67,000) earned the No. 9 spot.
