30 jobs in the PR and marketing world

Who wouldn’t want to live—and work—in the ultimate city in the United States?

U.S. News and World Report recently revealed that Austin, Texas, was voted the best place to live in the U.S. Its designation as “Live Music Capital of the World,” hosting the South by Southwest festival and its abundance of parks are a few reasons people love the city.

There’s also a strong sense of community among Austin’s residents. The city has adapted the unofficial slogan to “ Keep Austin Weird”—which, among other things, is a call to support local businesses.

Main Street Hub has risen to the request. It’s a marketing firm helping local businesses nationwide, and it’s looking for a social media community manager at its Austin headquarters.

The position requires engaging and connecting with online audiences on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Yelp and TripAdvisor. The right candidate will also create original content for local businesses and collaborate with other departments to implement customer feedback and develop innovative strategies.

Candidates should have “excellent writing and communications skills,” a “familiarity with major social media platforms” and a “passion for helping local businesses.”

If this isn’t up your alley, but you still want to live in Austin, there are other options available. Silvercar is looking for a marketing communications manager, and EZLinks Golf seeks a social media manager.
