Snapchat’s parent company, Snap, is making good on its promise to investors that it would find new revenue streams.
The company bought a drone company in August and offers the photo- and video-taking product Spectacles. However, few—if any—saw this product coming.
It’s a dancing hot dog costume, just in time for Halloween.

Here’s the description for the product—which lists its seller as Snap:
- Polyester
- Easy 2-piece fit: Hot Dog Tunic with attached sleeves and hands, and pants with attached shoe covers
- Convenient head/hand slits for easy access to cups, touch screens, and turntables
- Fits best on people below 6'4" and over 14 years old
- Made of 100 percent beef, but never starts it
- Fresh new flavor
The costume retails for $80.
The figure has become an unofficial mascot for Snapchat. It appeared as an augmented reality feature, and later a Bitmoji.
TechCrunch reported that the costume isn’t Snap’s first foray into selling wares on Amazon. In the past, it has offered such items as a ghost stuffed animal, playing cards and a ghost backpack.
