Infographic: When will your social media post perform the best?

Posting great content does you no good if nobody sees it.

Social media channels are not one-size-fits-all. Just as different content types excel on varying platforms, the times and days of the week you post to your social media accounts can account for big variations in performance.

Though best practice is to use analytics tools to monitor when users are engaging with your content, an infographic from Oberlo shares guidelines for the ideal times to post on some of the major social media channels.

For example, Saturdays and Sundays are the worst days to post on Twitter, but the best for Pinterest, according to the infographic.

Other insights include:

  • The best time to post on Instagram is between 11 a.m.–2 p.m. (lunch time) and 7–9 p.m.
  • Facebook gets the best engagement from 1–4 p.m. because workers tend to check it during down time at work.
  • Tuesday—Thursday from 11 a.m. 10–11 a.m. tend to be the best hours to post on LinkedIn because it’s used by recruiters and salespeople during business hours.
