The leaves are falling. Pumpkins are popping up in front yards. And Sunday Fundays have gone from summer brunch on the patio to tailgating at the stadium.

Fall is here, and with it football.

We’re now in week 7 of the NFL’s regular season, which means there’s still plenty of Sundays to celebrate.

Fall is also a time of celebration for communicators as our industry gathers for the biggest event of the year – the PRSA International Conference.

This year’s conference is taking over Indianapolis October 23, 24 and 25, and Cision will be there all three days.

Here’s where you can find us this weekend and next week. Say hello and follow @Cision on Twitter for more special announcements during the conference.

Kick Off #PRSAICON at Booth 333
Sunday, October 23 – Tuesday, October 25
JW Grand Ballroom Foyer

No game day is complete without a bit of tailgating.

Stop by booth 333 and play a game of cornhole, enter our raffle for a $200 Southwest travel voucher, or just take a moment to kick back and relax.

We’ll also be unveiling Cision’s vision for the future of communications with a special kickoff you won’t want to miss.

SPECIAL EVENT: The Next Era of Media & Communications Roundtable
Monday, October 24
2:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET
JW Grand Ballroom 1

Every member of a football team is essential to its success. It doesn’t matter whether you’re the quarterback or the kicker – if one player is out of sync, it puts the entire game at risk.

Unfortunately, many communications teams have been out of sync for far too long – sending separate, disconnected messages to try and attract audiences’ attention, but failing to earn trust.

Those days are over. Join Cision in a senior-level roundtable discussion about how to adapt to the next era of marketing and communications.

Learn how to make communications the quarterback of your organization and turn chaos into consistent, meaningful and enduring relationships.

WORKSHOPS SET 1: Inspiring Action: The Future of Influence Marketing
Sunday, October 23
2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. ET
White River H

In the wide world of sports, football fans can be the most fiercely loyal. Even when a team isn’t having a winning season, their fans are ready to show up in their favorite jersey, support the players and tell everyone else why their team is the best.

Treat your influencers and industry fans right and you will score a touchdown in reach, engagement and conversions.

Hear what Heidi Sullivan, Cision’s senior vice president, client services, and Shonali Burke, ABC, president and CEO, Shonali Burke Consulting, Inc., see as challenges, best practices and success stories in the fast-growing world of influencer and advocate marketing.

These marketing experts will share how to identify and work with influencers who inspire big action.

WORKSHOPS SET 4: Why PR Data Alone Isn’t Enough
Monday, October 24
11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. ET
JW Grand Ballroom 3

Anyone who has played fantasy football knows how important data is to making decisions. However, player stats on their own won’t help – you have to know how to use them.

Similarly, not using your communications metrics is just a waste of time.

During this workshop, Cision Vice President of Insight Solutions Michelle Vangel will be joined by Tina McCorkindale, Ph.D., president and CEO, Institute for Public Relations to discuss how to turn data into insights.

Learn how to use your research throughout the entire communications lifecycle to better understand your audience, identify influencers, inform content and channel strategy, and then monitor in real time to assess what is and isn’t working.

GENERAL SESSION: Scott Stratten Morning Keynote
Tuesday, October 25
9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. ET
JW Grand Ballroom

The PR game has changed, but has your playbook?

Named one of the top five social media influencers in the world by Forbes.com, keynote speaker Scott Stratten believes that trust, connection, consistency and service will always be the most important aspects of a brand’s reputation.

During his general session presentation on Tuesday morning, he will help you challenge the status quo of branding best practices in order to achieve better results.

Cision is excited to be part of this communications revolution, as our CEO Kevin Akeroyd will introduce Scott ahead of his keynote.

All of these events are free to PRSA International Conference attendees, though an RSVP is required for our roundtable on Monday.

Register now for The Next Era of Media & Communications and join us in JW Grand Ballroom 1 on October 24 at 2:45 p.m. ET.
