It's not only people in the south. It's gun owners nationwide. I'm not sure why people think only Southerners have guns. It's a ridiculous notion. People in Utah want to be able to defend themselves and their families just as people in Georgia do. It's a human thing, to want the ability to defend yourself. That's why gun owners are marginally concerned about the government trying to make it more difficult to buy and own guns.
While the government might want to restrict gun ownership, they also aren't under any obligation to defend the citizens lives and property. So where does that leave the people? Defenseless if we let them have their way.
Remember, it’s not as if other countries haven’t taken guns from their people. It’s been done many times, so why shouldn’t Americans be concerned? The anti gun people say they don’t want to take anybody’s guns but in their next breath they cite countries that have done just that as something to consider.
