Why can't we ban screaming children who won't behave and their parents from planes?

The casual tyranny in this question is rather offensive. Who is “we”? The only entity that can actually ban something is a government. So you are saying that people with guns should prevent children and parents who don’t behave as you want them to from getting on airplanes. (Or do you want them to forcibly eject the offending families in flight once your ire has been tweaked?)

The reason “we” have no such ban is because people have yet to allow such a petty and arbitrary government come to power.

It’s a wonderful world we live in where the worst thing about crossing the globe in a handful of hours is that a kid irritated you on the way.
