Does the behaviour of Tormund and Davos seem strange when they are around Jon Snow, he was brought back from death, there should be shock and awe?

I know everyone is probably sick of me pointing this out, but … yet another difference between Jon and Dany, yo.

They’re definitely at least a little unnerved by it, no doubt, but they both knew going into the ritual (Davos when he asked, Tormund when he was there during it too) that this could happen. They wanted it to happen. And now that it has, they may be bowled over by it, but they also know how and partially why it occurred. Tormund in particular is not terribly fussed about the dead coming back to life, it’s just that when they do, they’re wights. Crucially, Jon himself has given zero indication that he wants or expects to be treated with wonder, reverence or awe because of it. Jon is still Jon, just a guy, and as such they treat him that way instead of as a freak of nature or some sort of god figure. The one person there who does see Jon in some greater capacity, Melisandre, had her pronouncement that he was the prince that was promised waved off or sidestepped or flat-out challenged, as when Davos reminded her that she’d said the same thing once about Stannis.

If the same thing had happened to Dany, she’d’ve looked on smirking as the wildlings knelt to her (“She wants us to kneel, right?” “… I think so?” “Idk better do it”) and tacked “Undead” onto her list of titles. “Daenerys Stormborn, the Unburnt, the Undead, Mother of Dragons …”
