For me, as a 31 year old…
Pros:
- No assignments, no exams, no vivas, no sacrificing fun activities to make time for studies.
- Better understanding of the world and self, less insecure and less prone to hurt.
- Tears don't come as easily which saves a lot of embarrassment.
- Independent in terms of making money and spending it as desired.
- Young enough to complain about the uptight older people and old enough to roll eyes at the younger generation.
Cons
- Making friends is not as easy. There's something about those friends from school and college that remains unmatched.
- Can't love hopelessly or without reason. Heart is always guarded by the mind.
- Tears don’t come as easily making it harder to let the pain out.
- Expected to act like a grown up and be an adult about everything. “Just because I want to” is not an acceptable reason anymore.
- Birthdays have lost their sheen.
