One day in High School way back when there was this very anti gun teacher.
One day, she messed up and said some false statistics. Thinking it was a mistake, I refuted them and presented the actual math. She got mad and kept pushing her anti-gun agenda, and after refuting all her claims, she got mad and told me to stop.
“Why should I stop, Ma’am?”
“Because you’re only 15 and have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“But I have here *pulls out some statistics* facts, Ma’am!”
“You’re only 15 years old. You have no idea what you’re talking about. Now shut up or you get detention.”
And she refused to say anything further.
See, I was only 15 years old. So what if I said she was abusing her power just to shut me up cause she couldn’t refute her claims? It wouldn’t matter. Principal wouldn’t care. Her word is a thousand cause she’s a teacher and an adult, and I’m just some defiant kid who talked back in class. If she wanted to she could absolutely demonize me and make it look like I was being outright defiant, and I probably wouldn’t be able to refute that. After all, I was only 15, and I have no idea what I was talking about, right?
