30 jobs in the PR and marketing world

The music and film festival scene is rocking and rolling.

These events attract millions of attendees worldwide and give artists the stage to showcase their talents.

One of the best-known festivals is South By Southwest, or SXSW. Since its inception in 1986, SXSW has been bringing the creative world to Austin, Texas.

According to the festival’s official history page:

The first event, held in March of 1987, saw an expected 150 registrants swell to 700 on the opening day. As hoped for, Austin’s charm won over the visitors, and SXSW took on a life of its own.

The festival’s lineup has grown to include video, music, film and interactive categories.

Norah Jones, LCD Soundsystem and M.I.A. are just a few of the notable musical acts that have used SXSW to jump-start their careers. The film “Knocked Up” made its debut here, and “The Hurt Locker” had its first U.S. screening at the festival.

Looking to help the festival bring creative people from around the world together? South By Southwest is looking for a digital marketing manager at its headquarters in Austin, Texas.

The digital marketing manager will lead Hubspot implementation and use AdWords to manage paid searches, display ads and retargeting ads.

Interested candidates must have a minimum of four years’ experience in digital marketing.
