Police arrests tend to be quite different in the UK. Yesterday I had the pleasure of witnessing an arrest whilst I was waiting at a bus stop:
“Excuse me mate, you were speeding just then”
“Bet.”
“You were going 40 in a 25mph zone”
“Aw mate I swear down right, I didn’t even do out and that”
“You were speeding, please step out your car”
“Err f*** off mate I ain’t doin’ s*** for the pigs”
“Sir i’m going to lose my patience with you, please step out the car”
“OH … MY ... GOD. ALL YOU LOT DO IS GO AROUND AND F****** ARREST PEOPLE FOR NO REASON AT ALL MATE IT’S F****** STUPID GET A REAL JOB”
“I’m terribly sorry mate, I just realised that I actually read it wrong … you were doing 25 in a 40 zone, my apologies, you can go”
“Officer thank-you so much mate I really appreciate the work that you guys do, you’re one of the good ones you”
