In my experience, people who throw around the gibberish phrase “politically incorrect” are usually quite immature and thin-skinned. They have lost their favorite slurs, stereotypes and insults due to the increasing insistence of people on civility and politeness.
Because they are so thin-skinned, they can’t quite cope with the demands of maturity. Therefore, they call basic manners to be “PC”. That’s a whole lot easier than having to grow up and join adult conversation.
Now, if your question was whether people who use the term “PC” are thick-headed, that might require a different answer.
