I gave my nephews (13 and 11) Fallout 4 last year. They went crazy over it for a week; mindlessly doing everything possible except play the main storyline. When I came back after a week, they were Level 40 (each) and were hunting some UFO storyline.

They hadn’t even made any alliances besides the MinuteMen. just going away, doing side missions, beating bad guys and building towns.
