To Indians from an Indian :
If you're driving and you want to change lanes, there is a knob (in most Indian & Japanese models) on right side of steering wheel /left side of the steering wheel (in most American & German models) which is used to indicate to other passengers on road your lane change movement. When moving towards the left lane you can push it upwards, downwards for the right lane. You could indicate your movement accordingly.
