Israel doesn’t find a natural ally in the region due to their controversial creation and them standing out in religion/ethnicity from the rest of the region. Many Muslims in the region continue to consider the Israelis as an outsider in both religion and culture [many are thought to be immigrants from Europe/North America].
This has sparked many wars in the past and Israel destroyed the egos of many of the famed Arab leaders through spectacular victories. The hurt pride and connecting Israeli settlement with colonialism makes for rather tense relationships.
One natural ally for Israel outside the West is India. Judaism and India share a long, happy relationship. Both the ancient civilizations have plenty of things in common. There is also mutual admiration in many fields [including startups]. While India and Israel downplay this relationship there seems to have been extensive cooperation in defense. While India would not be anybody’s guarantor [due to the non-interference built in the culture], India & Israel could have a special relationship like the one US & France has [commonality not by language/ethnicity but through shared values].
