Facebook User Tips: Is there a way to stop a friend from sending me app invitations without unfriending them?

Absolutely.  Go to your Facebook Settings page and select "Blocking" from the left-hand sidebar (shortcut -- http://ift.tt/g8FRpYsetting...). Towards the middle of the page, you should see a section called "Block app invites."

Submit the name of any friends you would like to stop receiving application invitations from in the Block Invites field.  From now on, you won't see any further app invites from them, but they'll still be your friends and won't be notified that you have blocked them.
