Disney introduces emojis—with a challenge

Disney’s latest digital marketing effort aligns it with a growing list of brands that are turning to emojis.

The company has released a cache of hundreds of emojis featuring beloved Disney and Pixar characters.

However, rather than handing over all of the emojis at once, Disney wants you to work for it.

Users have to play a Candy Crush-like mobile game called Disney Emoji Blitz to earn different symbols for their keyboard. With more than 400 collectible emojis, you can bet that Disney-obsessed users will be spending plenty of time with the game.

Now, instead of a stupid yellow face smiling or winking at your friends, you can send one of Ariel, Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse or Simba.
