Do you believe the children of creationists should have to participate in compulsory state education that includes the theory of evolution?

This question has nothing at all to do with atheism. Why is it appearing with an Atheism tag?

My strict answer to your first question is "no", because I don't believe in compulsory state education. The qualifying phrase you add about evolution doesn't affect that answer.

But if tax dollars are being spent on the education then evolution must be the basis of any life science classes since it is the only theory for speciation. There are no competing theories.

Since the questioner apparently thinks atheism and evolution are somehow linked it seems likely that he or she is a creationist, as that's an error common to that camp. Creationism is religion. Students could appropriately learn about it in a comparative religion class. It has no place in a science class because it is not science. There is no rational way to believe in young-earth creationism.
