Do police get annoyed when they are asked to do silly things, like return my husband's keys to him?

Before I was hired by the department I would eventually spend 33 years with, I worked for a small town in Indiana. It was a very nice town, and almost everybody knew everybody else.

Consequently, we did not have "crime waves".

I was sent more than once to homes occupied by senior citizens to help them move large pieces of furniture.  They could not do it alone. I didn't mind.

Things were different in 1976. It would be nice to think things were still the same in that little town.
