What's something you used to skimp on, until you tried high quality and now you can't go back?

Pens.

Specifically fine line pens rather than fountain or calligraphic. Though I do use ballpoint.

The Sakura Micron, with archival non fading ink that will last a hundred years.

The well known sharpie

Staedtler  fineliner

Le Pen

I love le pen. They are so light and have a lovely thin line that I wanted all my life...

And Don't get me started on note books.
