If the wounded person dies under your care, you will be held responsible for his death.
It is against the law to swear at an Emirati. You will face jail-time and deportation.
When you see a lone, attactive Emirati lady sipping coffee in a mall, don't go chatting her up immediately. Her male relatives (and I mean there are always more than one of them) are sitting close by keeping a sharp watch over her. Over-friendly strangers usually get to "meet the family" at a nearby car park.
Buying gold in the Gold Souk is as safe as taking a ride in the Pope-mobile. Streets are frequently patrolled by the city cops; laws in the country are harsh enough to deter even the most habitual kleptoids; and there are cameras *everywhere*. This confidence in security is evident in the gold still sitting in the display cases (with only a layer of glass separating it from the street) after shopping hours. In any other parts of the world, it would have been kept in a 5-ton safe each evening.
It only rains once or twice a year in Dubai and always during the winter season (December-February). The rain isn't much more than what we call a drizzle in the tropical parts of the world, but watch out: Dubai roads do not have drains built alongside them on account of the rarity of rain. So be prepared for flash floods and massive jams on a rainy day.
