In the event of a landslide victory for Clinton, how might the Republican Party be reformed?

In an ideal world, they would dump the Tea Party, the white nationalists and nativists, and the Christian Right, and concentrate on the sort of caring and intelligent conservatism that George. H. W. Bush espoused. They could probably lure back some of the voters who voted for Clinton because they couldn't stomach Trump, and who hate being bedfellows with a bunch of racist lunatics.

However, this won't happen. Thanks to their gerrymandering and voter suppression efforts, they control Congress and a lot of state legislatures. Even if Trump loses in a landslide to Clinton, they're still in control in many respects. They won't feel any need to reform.
