I've got 20 farewell emails in from people who have been layed off (@Cisco). None of them trash the company that fired them. What am I missing?

You have some classy friends.

Also, folks at Cisco know what’s what. The company has been intentionally downsizing (and offshoring) work for a long time. Everyone understands that they could be next. They also understand that they could be re-hired.

If you just wanna hear someone trash the company, you could go over to Glassdoor and read some of the reviews. Everyone that I’ve heard from is sad and mournful, regardless.
