What is the most British thing ever?

  • an entire nation constantly in a civil war over what to call a small, round lump of bread. (The correct answer is a teacake, occasionally a bread roll And never, EVER, A barm cake *shudders*)
  • Not being able to handle weather above 19 degrees celsius (and being confused by anything that uses Fahrenheit) but still needing a cup of tea regardless
  • the line in the middle of the country that determines whether you put the milk in your tea first or not (Not!)
  • a nationwide silence when Doctor Who is on
  • browsing food you have no interest in whilst waiting for someone else to stop browsing the food you wish to browse, rather than browse the same product at the same time
  • getting unbelievably angry when someone cuts the queue but not being able to do anything other than tut at them
