What do soldiers do if they need to use the toilet while in combat?

The things I remember the most about the war in Bosnia are the smells.  Not so much of dead bodies, but of human feces.

A soldier isn't squeamish when it comes to where to do his "business".  Every place is right. Additionally, the adrenaline your body produces during combat works like a laxative and this can cause diarrhea.

Diarrhea, though is a serious problem. Not so much in an actual firefight, but when you are moving around with your squad or platoon. You can't leave the formation and even if you do you have to be careful to keep up with your group.

To be honest, this never has been a big problem for me in combat.  It's often more difficult to find a public bathroom in a big city in peacetime than to find a place during battles.
