Regret is like poison and antidote rolled into a single word.
It’s really hard to learn anything if you don’t royally mess things up.
I have done things – hurtful things, careless things, stupid things – that I fervently wish I had done differently.
But, if I hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
And, I wouldn’t be on my way to becoming the person I will become.
It’s not so much that I don’t have regret.
It’s that I regard regret as the cost of admission to compassion, to maturity, to happiness.
