How can an introvert who needs a lot of time alone find a compatible mate?

I am an introvert who needs a lot of time alone.

The first step I take to find someone compatible is to throw out any preconceived notions of what that may be.

Why would I narrow my choices?

It would be logical to assume I need someone like me: another introvert who needs a lot of time alone.

But what if an extrovert encouraged me, balanced me out? What if an extrovert frequently went out with friends, leaving me to enjoy my time alone?

Opening up the possibilities, embracing the fact that you don't know what you want, is key to finding someone unexpectedly wonderful.

Once that is done, rather than looking for a person in a specific place pursue activities that interest you or that you are curious about. A cooking class, a book club, an opportunity to volunteer for a cause that matters to you.
