Why do polls favour Clinton when Trump is filling up stadiums and Clinton can't fill a gymnasium?

Crappy professional sports teams also fill stadiums with their die-hard fans. Doesn’t mean they’re going to win a championship.

Clinton also goes out of her way to do small venues where she can actually talk to real people and find out about their problems as opposed to getting a giant cheering bout of ego-boosting.

Update: Here’s a nice example, Clinton’s answer to the following question:

In light of the outbreak of Zika in Florida, are you concerned and what can or is the U.S. government doing to prevent its spread?

She’d rather talk to people worried about a virus that shrinks babies’ brains than go to a stadium and get cheered at for an hour. Clinton doesn’t give a crap for filling a gymnasium. She’s too busy getting actual stuff done.
