I once shared a deep dark secret to a close friend. During a disagreement a few years later, they used that secret against me. I learned a very valuable lesson that day, that even for your closest friends, the people you most trust in life, there can be a time when they may use something about you for leverage. I hate to say it, but we don't always know those closest to us as well as we think we do.
I've seen it in many families too, when it comes to arguments, the line is often crossed, so if the family, your blood relations would use what they know against you, the potential is there for anyone to do that. There are some secrets I will never tell.
