Like many other Trump claims, this is a lie. A very insulting one too.
Does a stranger in your home know where everything in your home is better than you do? Maybe, if they have the blueprints and you just moved in. If they don’t have the blueprints and you’ve lived there for decades? Not a chance.
Every time a small-town Republican says the big-city Democrat shouldn’t try to meddle in their town because the Democrat doesn’t understand the town as well, they have a point. The distant Democrat doesn’t know the town as well.
So why should that same Republican believe that somebody who hasn’t been in government before knows government better than somebody who’s been in government in various ways for four decades?
As for the notion that he alone can fix it? Nobody, nobody does it alone in the US. We have neighbors and friends and family. We have coworkers and bosses and perhaps people we’re in charge of. We have multiple branches of government. No major project goes from start to finish with only one person doing all of the work.
Statements like that show he isn’t running for President. He’s running for king, or maybe dictator. Only kings and dictators can set the budgets and run the projects.
