Well, like many others on here, my bedroom was once ruled by a cat.
It was less of a monarchy and more of a dictatorship, considering the fact that the markings around her mouth resemble Hitler’s mustache.
She ruled my house for 18 years before she tragically was slain [by diabetes and organ failure.]
Like the cute little dictator she was, she demanded that the door to my room must be open, or at least cracked, at all times.
She would scratch at the door whenever it was shut, so like all cat owners, I complied.
So over the course of the first fifteen years of my life, I had formed the habit of leaving my door cracked open.
A 15 year long habit is a rather difficult one to change, so my door remains cracked to this day.
