Do you think it is over the top that some Clinton supporters are crying because she did not get in?

Some of those Clinton supporters aren’t just people who decided to vote for her on election day. Some of them are people who worked hard to get her elected. Some of them cheered when she announced over a year ago and have dedicated time and effort since then to gettting her the nomination and getting her into the Whitehouse. They’ve worked hard as volunteers and done their part for her campaign.

The polls told them that their girl was going to win and get into the Whitehouse and at one point people weren’t wondering if she was going to win, they were wondering how big the landslide was going to be.

Meanwhile the opponent wasn’t seen as an honourable person. He was the kind of guy that a lot of Clinton supporters despised.

Then on election day Clinton lost and their year of hard work was for nothing. Meanwhile the Trump supporters have gone into gloat overdrive. Rather than saying “Condolences, we understand your pain,” they've been on Quora and elsewhere showing a lot of venom and vitriol and doing victory laps while shouting “fuck you!” at anyone showing any Clinton support.

I think a few tears are understandable.
