That is a “yaller dog.”
In “Southern speak”, that’s a dog with a golden to yellow coat, that looks pretty much like your pup, and is a cross of so many breeds that it is hard to tell which it derives from.
Now depending on where you live, it is barely possible it is a Carolina dog.\
But, most likely, he’s just a yaller dog.
I’d like to note here that pretty much every yaller dog I have ever met had an amazingly good temperament.
