What are some real life experiences of those who have owned and driven a Tesla?

The Model S feels like a car Apple would design - clean, elegant and disruptive. It’s like switching from a Palm Treo to the iPhone... the Tesla’s almost unfair in the way it sets expectations for how cars should be. The 17” display makes all other in-dash navigation systems look like toys, especially when using the dual-screen GPS system.  Storage is ridiculous, as you have both a frunk (front trunk) and rear trunk. It gets 90 MPG and costs about $8 for a 240 mile charge, compared to an equivalent $50 for my old ICE car. Soon I can drive across country for free filling up for free at the new Supercharger stations that are popping up all over the country.

The Model S is crazy fun to drive. It does 0-60 in 4.4 sec and handles corners like it's riding on magnetic rails. The car looks like an understated blend of an Aston Martin, a Jag and a Maserati. In short, this car represents a shift in thinking that other car manufacturers need to pay attention to.
