What is the most British thing ever?

Apologising to someone who carelessly knocks into you.

The anthropologist Kate Fox ran a study that involved researchers intentionally bumping into strangers in the street, and recording their reactions. 80% of British people apologised when they were the victim, and only the Japanese get anywhere close to that level of unwarranted expression of remorse.
