In fact, we only hear about the ones who don’t have any family, like Dumbledore (gay), and Snape (obsessed with and forever faithful to Lily Evans), Rubeus Hagrid (orphaned), and Minerva McGonagall (widowed and childless).
There is no proof that any of the others don’t have a family they go back to once the school year is over.
In fact, some of them, DO have a family: Neville Longbottom, who takes Herbology over after Pomona Sprout retires, is married to Hannah Abott, who took over as landlady at the Leaky Cauldron.
And as a matter of fact, even Dumbledore has a family, even if he doesn’t have a wife and children… his brother is the innkeeper at the Hog’s Head.
And even Hagrid finds himself a family after all… he rescues his half-brother Grawp. Not to mention that he’s got a fancy for that snazzy Beauxbatons headmistress, Madam Olympe Maxime… God knows what’ll come out of that!
