What do Iranians think about Turks and Turkey?

I have lived in Turkey for several years so my opinion might not be representative of all Iranians, personally I find Turks to be different from us in several respects:

1- Turks are way more family oriented, both in the cities and in the villages they constantly think about their family and even if they move away from their family they are always in their mind, attached to them as if by an invisible string.

2- Turks are strangely hung up on this racial concept of Turkishness where they seek to find Turkish roots for everything. From the bloody exploits of the Huns and Mongols to the poetic masterpieces of the Azeris to the pioneering industry of the Hitites, everything is considered to be Turkish. I find that both absurd and Narcissistic, it is as if an Iranian would claim the success of Germany as his own since our language comes from the same family group.

3- Turks focus a lot more on appearnaces. They spend a great deal of time dressing up and shopping for clothes and they tend to judge people based on their appearance. As a person whose entire personal belongings barely comes up to 40kg, I find Turkish wardrobes (of both genders) to be totally insane.

4- Turks are way more loyal to eachother than we are and much more socially oriented, Iranians tend not to be loners but Turks seem to easily associate themselves with something and form social groups be that a football team, a political party or a workplace team.

5- Turks complain a lot. Perhaps that was my biggest beef with living in Turkey. Everyone was always complaining about something. We used to be thaught from childhood the value of patience and stoic silence whereas Turkey was a litany of incessant moaning about unimportant stuff, from the weather to the government (I still do not understand what was the hig deal about Gezi park though I lived in Turkey and quite close to the park during the demonstrations) to fashion, to the state of the world,.......

6- Turks practice a weird form of Islam. Now they wear whatever they want, do not pray, drink alcohol,..., but, take fasting during Ramadan quite seriously, hate pork and turn down their music during Adhan. Now I myself am not a paragon of Muslim piety but I think you either believe in something or your don't, you can't just pick and choose the parts that you like and to hell with the rest.

Other than these 6 traits, or rather pecularities, I find Turks to be carbon copies of Iranians in their culture and behavior and have made a ton of great friends while living in Turkey.
