If you woke up as your five year old self tomorrow, with the memories of your lived life intact, what would you do?

My goodness! I’d wake up before the internet, and mostly before home computers.

Think of what I could do.

First off, I’d tell my parents all about stuff there’s no way I could know, but I do know now that I’m a 40-year-old kindergartner. This would convince them that I have knowledge from the future.

I would tell them to invest in certain companies (most notably Apple). I’d tell them to raid my college fund, sell stuff, whatever. That investment is going to BLOW UP pretty soon, so get in now and forget about it.

We’d also be doing a lot of sports betting. I’m a bit of a sports nut, and even without preparing I could tell you who won the Super Bowl, NBA and NHL championships, World Series, etc. Also, there were no Triple Crowns any of the years from ’82 to ’16 (we finally got one…yay). So those are guaranteed locks. My parents would get a second mortgage on the house to bet on the ’84 tigers in the pre-season. By October I’d be watching Gibby hit that moonshot in game 5 while my parents counted their winnings.

By the early 90s, we’d have more than enough money to get in on the ground floor of a number of internet ventures. We’d avoid the dot com bubble, be early investors in Google, etc.

I’d be much better at dating in school, though that would be a bit weird, eh? Considering I’m happily married with 2 kids, is that cheating? The moral implications make my head hurt.

By the time I was 39 (again), I’d be one of the richest people in America.

I’d run for president - if Trump can do it, why not me?
