Many years ago my brother thought it would be a good laugh to hire a police uniform from a shop and go out on the p**s in it for his mates.
He turned up at his local pub and everyone thought it was great. Then one of his genius mates suggested he pull over motorists and wish them a happy New year. Which he did.
The second car he pulled over was a marked traffic car, which he didn't realise until it slowed to a stop beside him.
He was instructed to get his arse back in that pub and behave himself, and if they got any reports of bogus police officers it would be his door they would be knocking on.
He was rather quiet for the rest of the night.
