Why do seemingly intelligent people believe in libertarianism even though there is not a single advanced economy example for such a society? Is libertarianism the new socialism?
Before the first state freed their slaves, gave women the right to vote, or allowed gays to marry, why did seemingly intelligent people believe in these things, even though there was not a single example they could point to?
Obviously, all good things need to happen for the first time someplace.
