What is the most expensive pen or pencil you own?
My dear friends, I feel like I've been preparing for this question since I was 14. This is my only excuse to have a pen and pencil collection. Welcome to the hall of why bother.
First, let me show you my favourite pen.
This little ball point pen is completely fuss-free, and I got 12 for like $10. I should've brought more though. It flows like an angel.
Next we have this engraved pencil that I inherited from my late grandmother. It doesn't work right now, but I like having it anyway.
I also inherited this sketching set from my mum (not dead, just too busy to draw). A few were missing though, so I got her to buy me..
This bigger set. Don't worry, I have all of them, one is just in my pencil case. I think this set was roughly £20.
Speaking of things I made my parents buy, this anniversary pen comes in a gold case, and is actually a terrible pen. I don't know what it cost, but my mum thought it was too much, and my dad insisted that a nice pen is a good thing to have.
For art purposes, here are my cyclops. I don't know if they could technically be considered pencils, but eh. These vary in quality and price, I think the least expensive one was about £2, while the most expensive one was probably around £10
I later developed a penchant for fountain pens. I've bought most of these myself, but I've blissfully forgotten what I paid. Good thing the question wasn't how much my most expensive pen or pencil was.
My parents brought this home from Verona for me. It's so fancy, I love it.
And now onto my vice. I just can't help myself. I used to have a big fancy dark red feather pen, but my dog chewed it up. So I made my parents buy me the blue one. The other ones were about £10-£30.
And finally, my most expensive one. My brother got me this for my birthday, so I don't know the exact price, but it's antique and fancy, so it cost more than £100.
One day I hope to get a mont blanc fountain pen.
