The Beatles (band): What was it about Linda McCartney that Paul loved so much?

Well, for starters, she was more than a wife, but rather a full-fledged creative partner to Paul. Unlike his other girlfriends from past, she was not just another pretty girl. She was an accomplished photographer, and also an activist.

Later on, she also started singing and playing, and the couple had equal contribution in Paul's post Beatles career with Wings as well as a solo act. She also influenced Paul to become a vegetarian (she was one, too) and she remained faithful to her husband till her death.

I believe both John and Paul fell for the wrong women in their youth--Jane Asher and Cynthia Lennon both were pretty girls, but they just did not have that "something" which could make them the ideal life partners.

Paul found like-mindedness and a kind soul within Linda, and that is why he loved her so much.
