The third option is intriguing because Littlefinger now holds Harrenhal. If Sansa ends up being his downfall, she could end up just taking it from him. Sansa is also descended from the Whents on Catelyn's side — the last family to hold Harrenhal before it fell to the Lannisters, meaning she would actually have a claim to the castle.
There's also this fun nugget in "A Storm of Swords" after Joffrey's death and Sansa's escape:
"... The northern girl. Winterfell's daughter. We heard she killed the king with a spell, and afterward changed into a wolf with big leather wings like a bat ..."
The Whent sigil? Bats.
