What is the most terrifying thing?

I just finished watching Law-Abiding Citizen, then saw this A2A.

SPOILER ALERT.

In short: a character is injected with puffer fish venom so he is paralyzed but still has all sense intact, strapped down to a table so he cannot move at all, tied up with tourniquets so he cannot bleed out, is injected with adrenaline so he cannot pass out, and has a mirror hung above him so he has to watch all the torture he is about to endure.

Then he has all his fingers, toes and limbs cut off, then lastly his head.

I think that's pretty fucking terrifying.
