At what point will Israel have to stop accepting newcomers (because it has only a small piece of land)?

Never.

The most crucial piece of legislation in Israel is the  Law of Return which states the right of all Jewish people for a citizenship in Israel,
as this was and still is the moral basis over which Israel's legitimacy is based:
A national home for the Jewish people, in the land of Israel.

Regardless, the two main economical boosts throughout Israel's young existence correlate to the 2 massive waves of immigration in the early 70's and 90's.

Now - before anyone launches the "Zionism is Racism" argument -
Zionism is a positive claim not a negative claim, e.g. its states a right for Jewish people to inhabit Israel, IT DOES NOT claim other nations/religions do not have the same right.
And once a 2 state solution is in place, we'll finally send that debate to retirement.
